"decontaminates radiation from a room"
Decontaminate is a ship upgrade that allows the player to remove radiation from rooms on derelicts.
This upgrade is always permanently installed, and cannot be towed. The player will have to commandeer a derelict with the upgrade in order to use it. The upgrade can be found on Barge, Medical, and Private class vessels.
This upgrade does not deteriorate overtime, but it cannot be scrapped or uninstalled from the ship (essentially blocking a ship upgrade slot).
When a room is decontaminated, any radiation in it will be cleared after a short amount of time. Any pipe ruptures in a decontaminated room will not refill the room with radiation.
Do note that radiation will still be able to come back into a room if there's an open door between it and another radiated room. If possible, close all doors in radiated rooms before decontaminating them.
Decontaminate has 3 charges and can be recharged through the Modification Panel at a cost of -4
