Sensor

The Sensor is a limited use upgrade, that when used places a small motion sensor on the ground where used. If a detectable enemy enters the room with a sensor it will change to red to notify you. It requires no power.

You cannot retrieve deployed sensors.

Unlike motion scanners, sensors can detect slime.

Sensors can only be destroyed by security drones. Keep this in mind when using them.

Sensors have a maximum of 50 charges.

Usage

'sensor'   drops a sensor at the current drone, or
            the only drone with the upgrade.
'sensor 3' drops a sensor at drone 3

*magnetically clamps item in room to prevent being pulled outside of ship

Tips:

  • Sensors are great to keep track of slimes because of their relative disposability. Place one in each room as you move around, you will be notified on the console when a slime pops up.
  • Placing a sensor and lure (with magnetic clamp upgrades) in a room next to airlock is a great way to dispose of enemies. just don't open the airlock for too long for radiation to enter and settle. NOTHING SURVIVES BEING VACUUMED.
  • Sensors work in detecting Swarms as well , place them at a vent to alert you when they appear.
  • Do remember that sensors will detect every enemy type in the game but don't actually identify what enemy is triggering the sensor (though appropriate placement will identify types).
